--OUTREACH FOR 2013 --
August 16 – 24th – Outreach to Batey Antonci Village - Dominican Republic
Working at Mission Builders International, we are required to go on some sort of outreach once a year. I have been praying about what that might look like for this year. God opened up an incredible opportunity to not only go on an outreach, but to be a part of a Missions trip with my home church Stanwood Foursquare from Stanwood, Washington. In August I will be headed to the Dominican Republic with Stanwood Foursquare with the ministry “Food for the Hungary” - with a team of about 20 people. We will be camping in the Batey Antonci village, doing construction and working with kids, amongst many other things. I am so excited and it is even more special to be able to still be a part of what my home church is doing.
On August 24th I will then part ways with my wonderful home church family, and travel about half an hour south to Santo Domingo where I will visit the YWAM base there and the Dominican National YWAM office and do some work there, and see where I have sent some mission builders and to see what their current needs are to have a better knowledge when sending mission builders that way!
I Am needing to raise a total of $1625 for the missions trip! I have to have a $100 in by Monday May 13th and then I have a couple other deadlines. Would you consider being a part of my team? If you feel called to give, checks can be made out to Stanwood Foursquare Church – Please do not write my name on the check anywhere, but put a sticky note with my name on it so they know what account to put the money to. You can send checks to: PO BOX 1190, Lakeside, MT 59922 or Drop a check directly off at Stanwood Foursquare Church.
If you would like to be part of my team, or simply just want to know more about what we will be doing, please call me 425.327.8586 or shoot me an e-mail at rachellynn1007@gmail.com

--UPDATE FOR MAY--
Wow! March and April flew by! Summer is almost here!!! The weather likes to tease us here in Montana, as one day it will be sunny, beautiful & warm and the next day we will wake up to 4 inches of snow. Looking forward to summer arriving soon! Work here at YWAM Mission Builders International is a new adventure every-day talking to many people around the world every-day looking for opportunities to serve someplace in the world. I find so much joy in being able to help find placements for these people and guide them along the way. So many people are blessed every-day by Mission Builders International, so thank you for your partnership and prayers as this would not be possible without you! At the end of April we had our annual MBI board meeting, people traveling from around the country to be here for intense brainstorming sessions and looking ahead to the future and asking God what he wants MBI to look like. We have updated our website and have new immediate needs for different locations. Check it out on our website and see if you might be able to help fill a need someplace this summer! We have made use of the sunny days we have had, by continuing to clear land for future staff housing and office space.
I have officially graduated and passed Fire-Fighter 1 Academy! Thank you for all your support and prayers with that! It was quite an intense 8 weeks. It has been a wonderful opportunity to do some babysitting lately also, for a little girl name Jiji. We have a lot of fun making paper airplanes, flying them around and coloring and blowing bubbles outside. I also took Bow Hunters Education, a 3 day course at the end of April, as I am now certified to start bow hunting!

--GOD STORY FOR THE MONTH--
During Fire-Fighter 1 School, I was made aware that I would need to purchase Wild-land NFPA rated Leather Fire boots for Wild-land Fire Season. I thought that would be no big deal until I realized they were around $400. So I simply prayed and asked God to provide as I could not afford to buy boots that expensive. I felt led to check E-Bay, where I came across the most perfect pair, brand new, my size and exactly what I needed. Instead of $400 which they are worth, I won them for $99.00! I received them a few days after in the mail and they are perfect! I’ve already got to break them in! The next day I sent a thank you letter in the mail and let her know what a blessing in disguise she was. That night after putting the thank you letter in the mail, I received the following e-mail from her – “Hope you got your boots by now. Just wanted to let you know that I tithe on all my e-bay profits, a $25.00 donation was made to Amazima Ministries after your purchase. They help educate, feed and clothe women and children in Uganda. Great uplifting missionary story. She has a book out, “Kisses from Katie”. So, your purchase of my back of the closet fireboots will help you and people a world away too! Thanks!” I was in absolute AWE after reading this. I was reminded that God cares even about the little stuff in life.
